Our Objectives

We work to 3 main objectives:

• Objective 1: Collaborate and coordinate action Outcome: Have well-organised and well-publicised local and regional action to support the halt in biodiversity loss locally and regionally

• Objective 2: Raise awareness and promote biodiversity Outcome: Greater awareness; Bionet will actively share, advice and inform. Creating a community who is engaged in local conservation action and has easy access to expertise and resources for nature.

• Objective 3: Identify Local Nature Partnership priorities, enable and deliver action on these priorities Outcome: Successfully translate national targets into local action, demonstrate clear pathways between local action and national targets.

Bionet Members

A Regional Approach

Bionet is currently coordinated by Biodiversity Officers or Local Nature Partnership Coordinators who sit within Local authorities.

Bionet was established in 2010 with the merging of separate partnerships across the North East Wales Counties.

The partnership meets every 6 months and provides a forum for information share, project development, scoping funding opportunities and networking. Our partners work on a wide range of projects for nature across the region.
