Focus

Pollinators/Awareness/Education

The Friends have established and maintain a flowerbed to attract wild bees, butterflies and other pollinators and aim to have a range of flower types in bloom from spring till autumn.

Some nesting habitat is provided for solitary bees and for hoverflies.

Engagement

Information boards by the flowerbed tell people about some of the insects which may be seen there and free leaflets are available to take home.

The Friends lead bumblebee walks in Happy Valley, to share our enthusiasm with others.
