Capacity

This was an Enabling Natural Resources and Well-being Scheme submitted by the Wales Biodiversity Partnership on behalf of Local Nature Partnerships with Wales Council for Voluntary Action to provide greater capacity to Local Nature Partnerships.

What has this meant in the Bionet Region

Conwy: Funding a full time LNP Coordinator.

Denbighshire: Funding additional staff time to spend on partnership projects.

Flintshire: Funding an increase in staff hours with additional staff time for the Local Nature Partnership.

It has also provided a project budget for publicity and promotion for all Bionet Counties. Although Wrexham did not obtain additional staff capacity for the project they are in receipt of the project budget.

All authorities also contribute to a part-time project officer role seated within Denbighshire.
